Community Services is considered a major growth area, with strong career prospects and increasing job openings. This course covers a broad range of interesting topics that will introduce you to the community services sector. You will learn to support individuals and groups through person-centred approaches. You will develop the skills and knowledge required to gain an entry role in the community services sector and start your new and rewarding career, or progress in your current role. You will have the option to progress to one of our Diploma courses
This course is for anyone who is interested in gaining a role at a community services organisation, or to support individuals in the community. It is also for those already working in the area needing to formalise or upgrade their qualifications. There are no pre-requisites to enter this course.

If you already hold a Certificate III or above, you may still be eligible to access Back to Work funding as it is available for students that have already completed qualifications in Australia (certain criteria applies).

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, as per the CHC Community Services Training Package.
You will require basic English and computer skills to undertake computer/online work and have access to a computer and internet. Please be aware that job roles in the community services sector may require manual handling tasks and may require vaccination evidence.
