Available Funding Programs

Certificate 3
Guarantee Program

This program provides government funding for eligible Queensland residents to complete their first post-school Certificate III qualification. It is designed to improve employment outcomes and equip students with the foundational skills needed to enter the workforce.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be 15 years or older and no longer at school.
• Must be a Queensland resident.
• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold permanent residency.

Student Contribution Fee:
A minimal co-contribution fee applies, depending on eligibility.

Higher Level
Skills Program

The Higher Level Skills Program offers funding for Certificate IV and Diploma-level qualifications, focusing on priority industries that require advanced skills. It’s perfect for students aiming to enhance their expertise or transition into leadership roles.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a Queensland resident aged 15 years or older and not enrolled in school.
• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Must not hold, or be enrolled in, a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification (exceptions may apply).

Student Contribution Fee:
A co-contribution fee applies based on the qualification and funding eligibility.

Skilling Queenslanders
for Work

This Queensland Government initiative supports jobseekers and underemployed individuals by providing funding for training, skill development, and job readiness. It’s designed to help participants re-enter the workforce and secure sustainable employment.

Eligibility Requirements:
Open to Queensland residents facing employment barriers, such as:
• Long-term unemployed individuals.
• Young people.
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
• People with disabilities.

Program Features:
• Accredited training.
• Career advice.
• Job placement assistance.

Back to
Work Program

The Back to Work Program supports regional Queensland residents and other eligible areas by funding training and workforce development for those re-entering the job market.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be a Queensland resident in an eligible regional or priority area.
• Must be looking to re-enter the workforce or upskill for new career opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for government-funded courses, you must meet specific eligibility criteria, which may include:

Residency Status: Proof of Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or permanent residency.

Age: Minimum age requirements (depending on the program).

Previous Qualifications: Some funding programs, such as the Certificate 3 Guarantee or Higher Level Skills, may require that you have not previously completed a qualification at the same level or higher.
