Course Details

  • Duration: 6 -12 months
  • Theory: 15 units in total (12 Core units and 3 Elective units)
  • Delivery: Online with ongoing support from your Trainer/Assessor
  • Assessments: Written assessments and practical assessments, no essays or exams
  • Extra support: Lecture recordings and extra resources available for each unit
  • Practical: 280 hours of Vocational Placement required within a regulated childcare service
    • Please review the attached information regarding the vocational placement requirements
    • Child Care centres will require evidence of Blue Card
    • Please be aware that that manual handling tasks may be required
  • Next Intake: Course runs on a rolling intake, you can begin at any time

  • $190 (Job Trainer, High Level Skills Funding)
  • $100 concessional (High Level Skills Funding, Back to Work)
  • Full fee: $3,000 or $2,625 (concessional)

Payment Plans:

  • Non-concession: $3,000 – Deposit at enrolment: $800 – 4 x instalments/fortnightly: $550
  • Concession: $2,626 – Deposit at enrolment: $625 – 4 x instalments/fortnightly: $500

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for anyone who already holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113 or CHC30121), looking to take the next step in their education or employment journey.

It is recommended that you:

  • Have sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills
  • Have access to a computer
  • Have basic computing skills
  • Be able to obtain a Blue Card
  • Be at least 15 years of age
