This course is for anyone who is interested in working as an early childhood educator. It is also for those already working in the area needing to formalise or upgrade their qualifications. There are no pre-requisites to enter this course.

Course Details

Duration: 6 -12 months
Theory: 15 units in total (12 Core units and 3 Elective units)
Delivery: Online with ongoing support from your Trainer/Assessor
Assessments: Written assessments and practical assessments, no essays or exams
Extra support: Lecture recordings and extra resources available for each unit
Practical: 280 hours of Vocational Placement required within a regulated childcare service

- Child Care centres will require evidence of Blue Card
- Please be aware that that manual handling tasks may be required

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for anyone who already holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113 or CHC30121), looking to take the next step in their education or employment journey.

It is recommended that you:

Have sufficient language, literacy, and numeracy skills
Have access to a computer
Have basic computing skills
Be able to obtain a Blue Card
Be at least 15 years of age
